SPECIFIC GUIDELINE FOR WRITING MANUSCRIPTS

1. Writing manuscripts
As part of the printing process your document will be photographed. To ensure that this can be done with one camera setting for all papers and to ensure uniformity of appearance for the Journals, your paper should conform to the following specifications. If your paper deviates significantly from these specifications, the printer may not be able to include your paper in the Journals.
(1) On the first page, the distance from the top edge of the paper to the top of the first line of type (the title) should be 1.57 inches (4.0 cm).
(2) On the second and subsequent pages, the distance from the top edge of the paper to the top of the first line of type should be 1.18 inches (3.0 cm).
(3) The left and right margins should be 1.38 inches (3.5 cm). If you are using A4 paper, set the right margin to 0.79 inches (2.0 cm).
(4) The width of each column should be 21.62 characters.
(5) The distance between the two columns of text should be 2.13 characters.
(6) The space of lines should be 112%.
(7) The distance from the top edge of the paper to the bottom of the last line of type on the page should be no more than 10 inches (25.4 cm).

2. Cover page and title page
On the cover page, title, authors full name and affiliation should be written in English. If the authors are more than or equal to two, there should be comma between authors. If the affiliation of authors is not identical, the superscript number should be marked to the name and corresponding affiliation. MD and PhD should not be written. Bottom of cover page, the address of corresponding author including name, telephone, fax and email address should be described. In the title page, the title in English should be written. Additionally, the abbreviated title should be added. If necessary, presentation in the meeting may be described.

3. Abstract and Keywords
Abstract should be structured as followings: Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusion in the order named. The subtitle should be constructed as one paragraph. The description should be sentences. The length of the abstract should be less than 250 words. In the next line of abstract, a list of 4-6 keywords for a subject index should be included on this page.

4. Text Body
  • The recommended format and the capitalization styles of major headings are as follows: Abstract, Keywords, INTRODUCTION, THEORY, EXPERIMENTS, RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION, ACKNOWLEDGMENT, REFERENCES.
  • Leave a space between word and parenthesis. Special words of Latin or French origin should be in italic (e.g., in vitro, et al.).
  • References to published work should be indicated at the appropriate place using brackets (e.g.,[2,6-8]), numbered consecutively, and a list of references in numerical order should be provided at the end of the manuscript.
  • Sources of materials and instruments should be clearly presented together with the names of the appropriate cities and countries.
  • Units : The SI system should be used for all dimensional quantities. Leave a space between numbers and units except oC and % (e.g., 40 mg/L, 50%, 10 h).
  • Equations and symbols : Main symbols used in equations and text should be in italic. Equations must be numbered consecutively using Arabic numbers.
  • Tables: Type each table on a separate sheet of paper. The table title should have the first letter of the first word capitalized. Details of all necessary additional information can be included in the table footnotes. Preferred font is Arial or Times New Roman with 10 pt. Table should not contain vertical linings and the captions should be understandable without referring the text.
  • Figures: Graphs, figures, and other illustrations should be drawn on separate sheets of paper. The uniformity in size of the figures should be maintained carefully. IPACT encourages both gray and color illustration as JPG/TIFF files. Use 600 dpi/1200 dpi for illustrations for better clarity. When a figure consists of more than one plot, designate each plot as (a), (b), (c), etc. on the upper left-hand side of the plot and refer to it in the text as Fig. 4(a), Fig. 4(b), etc. All figures and lettering must be of a size which remain legible after a 50% reduction of the original. In the figure caption, only the first letter of the first word in each sentence should be capitalized. Photographs will be accepted if essential to the paper, though an additional charge will be levied. A list of figure captions including explanations of legends should be supplied on a separated sheet at the end of the manuscript.
